Question

In a circle of radius 4.5 cm draw two radii such that the angle between them is 70o. Construct tangents at the non-centre ends of the radii.

Open in App
Solution

  • Draw a circle of radius 4.5cm
  • Take a point A on the circle and join OA
  • Make an angle 70o with the radius OA on vertex O and join OB
  • Taking OA and OB as base and A and B as vertex, draw perpendiculars XT and YT
  • These perpendiculars intersects at T
XT and YT are the required tangents.
