Question

In a circle of radius 4 cm, draw two radii such that the angle between them is 110°. Construct two tangents at the ends of the radii.

Open in App
Solution

Length of the radius = 4 cm

The steps below need to be followed to construct the circle and the tangents.

1. Draw a circle of radius 4 cm with centre O.

2. Take a point P on the circle and join OP.

3. Draw at the centre O of the circle.

4. Draw perpendiculars X1Y1 at P and X2Y2 at Q respectively such that.

Thus, X1Y1 and X2Y2 are the two tangents at the ends of the two radii making an angle of 110° between them.
