$AB=2AC$

${AO}^2=A{C}^2+{OC}^2$

$\Rightarrow 25=9+{OC}^2$

$\Rightarrow OC==\sqrt{25-9}=\sqrt{16}=4$cm

Length of the chord$=AC+CB=4+4=8$cm
