In a circuit given below calculate the potential difference between points $B$ and $D$ . Also find the potential difference across the terminals of $G$ and $H$ .

The equation through loop $I_1$ is

$-2+3I_1+1+2\left(I_1-I_2\right)=0$

The equation through loop $I_2$ is

$-3+4I_2+1+2\left(I_2-I_1\right)=0$

On solving we get

$I_1=\frac{5}{13}A$

$I_2=\frac{6}{13}A$

Current through $2\Omega$ will be $I_1-I_2=\frac{1}{13}A$

Potential difference between points B and D will be

$V=IR$

$=\left(\frac{1}{13}\times 2\right)V$

$=\frac{2}{13}V$

The potential difference between G and H will also be same as that of between B and D.
