In a circuit given below calculate the potential difference between points B and D . Also find the potential difference across the terminals of G and H .

The equation through loop I1 is

2+3I1+1+2(I1I2)=0

The equation through loop I2 is

3+4I2+1+2(I2I1)=0

On solving we get

I1=513A

I2=613A

Current through 2Ω will be I1I2=113A

Potential difference between points B and D will be

V=IR

=(113×2)V

=213V

The potential difference between G and H will also be same as that of between B and D.
