In a class 60% students are boys and 30% of the girls take tea and 80% of the boys take tea. What percent of the students take tea?

Let number of students in the class be 100
given 60% are boys
therefore no of boys =(60/100)×60=60
Since 60%are boys remaining40% will be girls
no of girls=(40/100)×100=40
Given,
80%of boys take tea
therefore, no of boys take tea =(80/100)×60=48
Given,
30% of girls take tea
therefore, no of girls take tea=(30/100)×40=12
thus
no of students take tea =48+12=60
percentage of students take tea=(60/100)×100=60%
