In a class A of 25 students, 20 passed with 60% or more marks; in another class B of 30 students, 24 passed with 60% or more marks. In which class was a greater fraction of students getting with 60% or more marks?

Step 1: Find the fraction of students in class A who passed with 60% or more marks.

Since, there are 25 students in class A. and 20 students are passed with 60% or more marks.

So, the required fraction is 2025=45.

Hence, the fraction of students in class A who passed with 60% or more marks is 45.

Step 2: Find the fraction of students in class B who passed with 60% or more marks.

Since, there are 30 students in class B. and 24 students are passed with 60% or more marks.

So, the required fraction is 2430=45.

Hence, the fraction of students in class B who passed with 60% or more marks is 45.

Therefore, In both classes equal fraction of students passed with 60% or more marks [ i.e., 45].
