Solution

The correct option is B. 10

From question,

Total number of students, n(U)=100
Number of students who know English, n(E)=20
Number of students who do not know Hindi n(H)=20
Number of student whose does not know either language n(EH)=10

Number of students who know Hindi,
n(H)=n(U)n(H)=10020=80

Number of students who knows any or both of the language,
n(EH)=n(U)n(EH)=10010=90

By set theory,
n(EH)=n(E)+n(H)n(EH)
90=20+80n(EH)
n(EH)=10090=10
Hence, 10 students know both of the languages.
