Let's us consider the number of girls = x

Therefore, number of boys = 3x

Given:
Total number of students = 120

$⟹x+3x=120$

$⟹4x=120$

= $3\times 30$
= 90

Number of students behind Max = Total students – His rank

= 120 – 26
= 94

Number of girls behind Max
= Number of girls – Number of girls ahead of Max
