Solution

Total number of student in the class = 35
Number of students like to eat apples n(A)=26
Number of students like to eat oranges n(O)=16
Number of students who like at least one fruit n(AO)=35
Number of students who like both n(AO)==?
we know that,
n(AO)=n(A)+n(O)n(AO)
35=26+16n(AO)
n(AO)=4235
n(AO)=7

Hence, total number of students like both oranges and apple is 7
