The correct option is D 10
Marks obtained for 1 right answer = +3
Marks obtained for 1 wrong anwer = -2
Total marks scored by Rakesh = 18
Number of questions attempted = 16
Let number of corret answer be x.
$∴$ Number of incorrect answers $= (16 - x)$
$\Rightarrow 3 x + (16 - x) (- 2) = 18$
$\Rightarrow 3 x - 32 + 2 x = 18$
$\Rightarrow 5 x = 18 + 32$
$\Rightarrow 5 x = 50$
$\Rightarrow x = 10$
Therefore number of quesitons answered correctly = 10
