Open in App
Solution

Given that,

Number of boys in the class =30

Number of girls in the class =20

Strength of the class =Number of boys in the class + Number of girls in the class

=30+20=50

Ratio of number of girls to the strength of the class=20:50

Lowest form of 20:50=2050=25=2:5 ( Divide both 20 and 50 by their HCF 10)

Hence, Girls : strength =2:5
