The no. of boys in the class = $25$
The no. of girls in the class = $20$
The ratio of no. of boys to no. of girls = $\frac{25}{20}$ = $\frac{5 \times 5}{5 \times 4}$ $= \frac{5}{4}$
$5 and 4$ have no common factor other than $1$
So, the simplest form of the ratio is $5 : 4$ .
