In a class, there are 25 boys and 20 girls. Find the ratio in the simplest form of girls to total students.

Given:
Number of boys = 25
Number of girls = 20
Total students = no. of boys + no. of girls
=20+25=45

The ratio of number of girls to total students = 2045=5×45×9=49
4and9 have no common factors other than 1
So, the simplest form of the ratio is 4:9.
