60.4131.3=0.46 mol
Now calculate the number of moles of oxygen present in 100 g of sample.
22.116=1.38 mol
Now calculate the mole ratio of oxygen to xenon.
1.380.46=3:1.
Thus, the number of oxygen atoms present in the compound are 3.
