$1^{st}$ Innings - $4hrs28min13sec$

$2^{st}$ Innings - $3hrs49min35sec$

So $1^{st}$ Innings in seconds = $4hrs=4\times 60=240min$

$=240\times 60=14400sec$

$28min=28\times 60=1680sec$

So totally $=14400+1680+13=16093sec$

$2^{nd}$ Innings in seconds :- $3hrs=3\times 60\times 60=10800sec$

$49min=49\times 60=2940sec$.

So totally= $10800+2940+35=13775sec$

We have to find how much more time he played in

$1^{st}$ Innings = Total $1^{st}$ Innings - Total $2^{nd}$ Inning

$=16093-13775=2318sec$

i.e, $1min=60sec$

$?=2318sec$ $\Rightarrow \frac{2318}{60}=38.63\cong 39min$
