If AB=10cm,AC=14cm and BC=6cm,
Find BD and DC.

According to angle bisector theorem,
ABBD=ACDC
BD=AB×CDAC
BD=AB×(6BD)AC=10×(6BD)14
14BD=6010BD
BD=2.5 cm
DC=6BD=62.5=3.5 cm
