Solution

The correct option is C

Phellem-endodermis-pericycle-phloem

In the stem of dicotyledonous plants the ring of vascular bundles, each having pericycle on the outside followed inside by phloem, vascular cambium and xylem, a layer of endodermis surrounds these bundles. The bark is initiated outside the endodermis in the cortex by the formation of cork cambium or phellogen which forms cork or phellem towards outer side and secondary cortex or phelloderm towards the inner side, the sequence of tissues as such is phellem-endodermis-pericycle-phloem, leaving aside other tissues.
