In a DNA molecule the amount of purines is equal to the amount of pyrimidines. Purines are adenine and guanine, Pyrimidine are cytosine and thymine. The number of adenines is always equal to the number of thymines, and the number of cytosines is always equal to that of guanine.
A = T, C = G
If C = 18% , then G = 18% C + G =36%
So, A + T = 100 – 36 = 64% A = 32%, T = 32%
So, adenine is 32%.
