In a family of four persons 15 chapaties were consumed in a day. $\frac{1}{3}$of the chapaties were consumed by the mother and $\frac{1}{5}$ were consumed by the children and the remaining were eaten by the father. How many chapaties were eaten by each of them?

Total Chapaties = 15
Mother ate = $\frac{1}{3}$ of 15
= $\frac{1}{3}$ x 15
= 5 chapaties
Children ate = $\frac{1}{5}$ of 15
= $\frac{1}{5}$ x 15
= 3 chapaties
So remaining chapaties were eaten by father that is = 15-(5+3)
= 15 - 8 = 7
