Solution

The correct option is C 312 hours
Let the original speed =x km/hr

Normal time of flight = 2800x hours ,New speed =(x100)km/hr
Time of flight, when speed is reduced =2800x100 hours
According to the given condition, 2800(x100)2800x=3060

12=2800x2800(x100)x(x100)

x2100x560000=0
x2800x+700x560000=0
x(x800)+700(x800)=0
(x800)(x+700)=0
x800=0
x+700=0

x=800,700

Neglecting the -ve value.

Original speed of the are craft = 800 km/hr

Original duration of flight =2800800=312hours
