Diversity vs Biodiversity

Diversity is a general term used to describe the variations observed in the surroundings. It is not specific to the variation observed in living organisms. The term that describes the variations observed in living organisms (animals and plants) is called biodiversity. Since the given habitat has different species of animals and plants, we should call it as biodiversity.
