The number of nuclei (N) present after n half lives is given by
N=N0(12)n where n=tT
In the question, we are given that N0=1024; n=10/20=1/2; N= ?
Substituting the above values in equation (1), we get
N=1024(12)12=1024×0.707=7.07×1023
