Solution

The correct option is A Primary consumers eat photosynthetic organisms
Grazing is the process whereby herbivores eat plant material. Grazers employ a variety of strategies to ensure they maximise nutrient digestion and uptake such as rumination which is the process of chewing the cud. A grazing food chain is a food chain in which the energy in the lowest trophic level is derived from photosynthesis. In grazing food chains the first energy transfer is from plants to herbivores and this is in contrast to detritus food chains where the first energy transfer is from decaying material to detritivores.
So the correct option is 'primary consumers eat photosynthetic organisms'.
