Their possibilities of getting a particular chest disorder are 35%,20%and10% .

Thus,

The number of smokers, as well as a non-vegetarians suffering from chest disorder, are n(E1)=160×35100=56

The number of smokers, as well as vegetarians suffering from chest disorder, are nE2=100×20100=20

The number of non-smokers, as well as vegetarians suffering from chest disorder, are nE3=140×10100=14

Therefore the total number of people suffering from the chest disorder are

nS=nE1+nE2+nE3=56+20+14=90

The required probability that the opted person is a smoker as well as a non-vegetarian is,

pE1=nE1nS1=5690=2845
