In a group of students, 60% can speak English and 75% can speak Hindi. If 25% of the students can speak none of the two languages, then what percent of the group can speak both languages?
60%
Assume 100 students in the class.
No of students who don’t speak Hindi or English : 25% of 100 =25
Thus all remaining 75% students i.e. 75 students speak Hindi whereas 60 % speak English.
Let percentage of students who speak both languages be 'X'.
75 = 75 + 60 - X
X = 60
Therefore, 60 percent students speak both languages.
