The correct option is
B pre-reproductive individuals are more than the reproductive individuals
A population at any given time consists of individuals belonging to different age groups. If the percent of individuals of a given age or age group is plotted for a population, an age pyramid is formed. Age distribution of males and females are shown in a combined diagram. A population on the basis of its age is divided into three groups namely the pre-reproductive age group, reproductive age group, and post-reproductive age group. By plotting these groups of individuals, three types of age pyramids are formed, namely expanding, stable and declining.
For the expanding age pyramid the number of pre-reproductive individuals is higher than reproductive individuals which in turn is higher than post-reproductive individuals.
For the stable age pyramid, the number of pre-reproductive individuals and reproductive individuals are more or less equal and higher than post-reproductive individuals.
For the declining age pyramid, pre-reproductive individuals are less than reproductive and post-reproductive individuals.
So, for a country with a growing population, pre-reproductive individuals are more than the reproductive individuals.
