The correct option is A Continuous breeders, seasonal breeders
Reproductive phase is the phase of the life span where the organism is sexually mature and can reproduce.
Animals that are reproductively active only during certain favourable seasons in their reproductive phase are known as seasonal breeders.
E.g:- Domestic animals- horses, dogs, cats, etc.
Wild animals- Bears, foxes, wolves, Arctic tern, etc.
Animals which are reproductively active throughout their reproductive phase are called continuous breeders. They don’t breed equally throughout the year. This means that their breeding pattern and time is not distributed uniformly or evenly throughout the year. Even among continuous breeders, there are certain seasons when they breed more than usual. But, seasonal pattern of reproduction doesn’t mean seasonal breeding. This means that even though they might prefer breeding in certain seasons or certain months of the year, they are not seasonal breeders because they can still breed throughout the year. They are reproductively active throughout the year and the time of breeding for these animals is just a matter of preference.
E.g:- Primates- humans, chimpanzees, gorillas, monkeys, etc.
Non primates- lions, rats, cattle etc.
