Using concept of compound interest, we shall find the number of bacteria at the end of 2 hours(A).

A = P × [1+R100]n

where, P is the initial count of bacteria, R is the rate at which bacteria count increases, n is the number of hours

Given

P = 5,06,000

R = 2.5%

n = 2

A = 506000 × [1+2.5100]2

A = 5,31,616 approx.
