Let the length of the race be “L” metres,

From the given data, the following table can be formed.
Harsha Dinesh Venkat
Race 1 L L - 25 L - 60
Race 2 L L - 40

Using unitary method,
(L25)(L40)=L(L60)

L225L40L+1000=L260L

⇒ L = 200 metres

Hence, option A is the correct answer.
