Let $x$=Number of Rs $500$ prizes given

$y$=number of Rs $100$ prizes given

Since it is given that in that lottery the total of Rs 200 prizes are to be given.

$\Rightarrow$$x+y=200$ $\to$ 1

Since the total prize money 50000

$\Rightarrow 500x+100y=50000$ $\to$ 2

Solving equation 1 and 2 simultaneously

$\frac{x+y=2005x+y=500}{-4x=-300}$

$x=75$

$x+y=200\Rightarrow y=125$
