MEANING It is the type of economic system where there is private ownership of the means of production and their operation for profit. It is a type of economic system in which both private sector and the government together carry out various activities.
MOTIVE Consumer is sovereign/king. projects industrial freedom
DECISIONS Economic decisions are taken by the price-mechanism or market mechanism. economic decisions are taken by both the government and the market
NUMBER OF ENTERPRISES It has a large number of private sector enterprises. presence of large number of private sector, public sector, or joint enterprises.
