The correct option is C

14 litres


Number of litres of sugar solution in the mixture = 33+4×42=37×42=18 litres

Thus, the no of litres of salt solution in the mixture = 42-18= 24 litres

Let x litres of sugar solution be added.

Thus, we have 18+x24=43

54 + 3x = 96

3x = 42 x = 14 litres
