The correct option is B 7.5 x 109 yr
Ratio of argon-40 : potassium-40 =7:1
let, In the beginning potassium-40 =1
After x-half lives potassium-40 =(12)x
After x-half lives argon-40 =1(12)x
so,
Ratio of argon:potassium =1(12)x(12)x=71
=2x1=7
=x=3
3 half-lives so, Age of rock is 7.5×109 years.
