Solution

The neuron basically has four important parts; dendrites, cell body, axon and the axon terminals. The dendrites are the ones which receive the information in the form of nerve impulse (electrical signal). This nerve impulse then travels down through the axon and reaches the axon tail. In the axon terminals, the electrical signal is converted to the chemical signal; neurotransmitter which is released near the synapse (junction between the axon terminals of 1 neuron and dendrites of the next). The neurotransmitter that is released from the axon terminals bind to the dendrites of the next neuron and initiate electrical signal.
