Area of parallelogram =Base×Altitude
AB=12,cm
Altitude corresponding to AB=8cm
DE=8cm
Area of parallelogram ABCD=AB×DE
=12×8
=96cm2
If AD=10cm, then AD would be the new base because a altitude is drawn in it. So let the altitude corresponding to AD be CF.
Area of parallelogram ABCD=AD×CF
96=10×CF
CF=9610
