The correct option is C $9.6 c m$

Area of parallelogram $= B a s e \times A l t i t u d e$
$A B = 12, c m$
Altitude corresponding to $A B = 8 c m$
$∴$ $D E = 8 c m$
$\Rightarrow$ Area of parallelogram $A B C D = A B \times D E$
$= 12 \times 8$
$= 96 c m^{2}$
If $A D = 10 c m$ , then $A D$ would be the new base because a altitude is drawn in it. So let the altitude corresponding to $A D$ be $C F$ .
$\Rightarrow$ Area of parallelogram $A B C D = A D \times C F$
$\Rightarrow$ $96 = 10 \times C F$
$\Rightarrow$ $C F = \frac{96}{10}$
$\Rightarrow$ $C F = 9.6 c m$
