Suppose that ABCD is a parallelogram. Let the sum of AB and BC be the adjacent sides.
Then, AB + BC = 12 cm (Given)

Since, the opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal, the sum of the other adjacent sides CD and DA will also be 12 cm.

Hence, the sum of all the sides of the parallelogram will be 12 cm + 12 cm = 24 cm.
