In a parallelogram, the base and height are in the ratio of 5:2. If the area of the parallelogram is 360 m2, find its base and height.

Let the base and height of the parallelogram be 5x and 2x respectively.
Area of parallelogram=base×height=360 m2
5x×2x=360 m2
10x2=360 m2
x2=36 m2
x=6 m
So, base of parallelogram=5x=5×6=30 m Height of parallelogram=2x=2×6=12 m
