Open in App
Solution

Step : Find the amount earned this week
Given : Amount earned by a man for working 48 hours in a week \(= Rs~4320\)
Work done by him for 6 hours less than last week
\(= 48 – 6\)
\(= 42\) hours
As money earned in \(48\) hours \(= Rs~4320\)
\(\Rightarrow\) Money earned in 1 hour \(= \dfrac{4320}{48}\)
\(\therefore\) Money earned in 42 hours \(= \dfrac{42 \times 4320}{48}\)
\(= \dfrac{42 \times (90 \times 48)}{48}\)
\(= 3780\)
\(\therefore\) Money earned in 42 hours \(= Rs~3780\)
Hence, a man earned \(Rs~3780\) this week.
