Solution

Facilitated diffusion:

Transport of substances that takes place with the help of integral proteins is called facilitated diffusion. There are three types of facilitated diffusion
  • Uniport- passage of a single molecules in one direction
  • Symport- simultaneous movement of molecules in the same direction
  • Antiport - simultaneous movement of molecules in the opposite direction

Antiport:

Carrier proteins present in the plasma membrane, allow two different types of molecules to move across the membrane by the passive transport. When both the molecules move in opposite directions, it is called antiport.

Final answer: Antiport
