Solution

The correct option is C 6 eV
(KE)max=hvϕ0
So, 1 eV=hv0ϕ0....(i)
and 3 eV=hv02ϕ0....(ii)
3 eV1 eV=hv02
or hv0=4 eV
From Eq. (i), ϕ0=hv01 eV
=4 eV1 eV=3 eV
(KE)mas=h×9v043 eV
=94(4 eV)3 eV=6 eV.
