In a pure semiconductor, the number of conduction electrons = number of holes.

Given Volume

=1 cm×1 cm×1 mm

=1×102×1×102×1×103

=107 m3

Number of electrons

=6×1013×107=6×1012

Hence number of holes

=6×1012
