We know that, for a purely resistive AC circuit, if voltage of AC supply is E=E0sinωt, then, AC in the circuit is I=I0sinωt, where I0=E0R.

The magnitude of peak current(I0) is independent of the angular frequency(ω) of AC supply.

Therefore, the curve between I0 and ω is a straight line parallel to xaxis.


Hence, option (C) is the correct answer.
