In a question where I have a value, sin theta = √-5/2 . As this will be negative so the answer will be = -√-5/2.

How does -√-5/2 simplify further? Do the 2 negatives become a positive?

-√-5/2 can be written as
-√5/2 × √-1

√-1 is an imaginary no. , also called as 'iota' and denoted by 'i' and it cant be simplified further. You will study about it in later classes.
-√-1 , here two negatives doesnt become positive because one is inside the root.
