In a rain-water harvesting system, the rain-water from a roof of 22 m $\times$ 20 m drains into a cylindrical tank having diameter of base 2 m and heigth 3.5 m. If the tank is full, find the rainfall in cm. Write your views on water conservation.

Volume of water collected in system = Volume of cylindrical tank $L\times B\times H=\pi r^{2}h22\times 20\times H=\frac{22}{7}\times 1\times 1\times 3.522\times 20\times H=11$
H = $\frac{11}{22\times 20}=\frac{1}{40}\text{m}$
$=\frac{1}{40}\times 100=\frac{5}{2}=2.5\text{cm}$
Rainfall on system = 2.5 cm
Water conservation is very important as it solve the water problem in the absence of rain.
