Question

In a reaction, does a catalyst undergo any chemical change ? Or does it undergo any change in its composition ? If it does not undergo any change in composition, then a catalyst which was earlier used in some reaction, must continue to be used in a number of reactions after it ? Shouldn't it be like that ?

Solution

Dear User,
Catalyst neither undergo any chemical change nor any change in their composition. They only alter the rate of the reaction. The catalyst earlier used in some reactions can be used in a number of reactions after it.
