Question

In a redox titration
1. Why colour changes at the end?
2. Why colour does not change before the end point?

Solution

Dear student
1.At the end point there are no more free metal ions in the solution. So, colour changes at the end due to the presence of the indicator, which is present.

2.Before the end point, the metal ions are already interacting with the titrant, due to which there is no noticeable colour change.
