In a regular pentagon ABCDE, BE is a diagonal.
BAE is the interior angle of the polygon.
Each interior angle of a regular polygon is = 180o(n2)n
where n= number of sides of polygon, n=5
BAE=180o(52)5=108o
So, each angle of polygon is 108o also AED=108o
Now, ABE is an isosceles triangle in which AB = AE.
So, ABE=AEB
ABE+AEB+BAE=180o
=>2AEB=180o108o
=>AEB=72o2=36o
BED=AEDAEB=108o36o
BED=72o
