Question

In a regular polygon if the ratio of inner and outer angle is 3:2 then find the inner angle of the polygon.

Open in App
Solution

Given that the polygon is regular and the ratio of inner and outer angle = 3:2

In the regular polygon , the inner angle + outer angle = 180°

Let the inner angle = 3x and outer angle = 2x [1 mark]

Hence, 3x + 2x = 180°

5x = 180°

x = 36° [1 mark]

Hence, the measure of the inner angle = 3(36)° = 108° [1 mark]
