Solution

The correct option is A 50
Given that,
Total number of children in a school = 500
Number of boys in the school = 60% of 500
=60100×500=300
Number of girls in the school = 40% of 500
=40100×500=200
Now, as given that 50 boys leave school and 50 girls are newly admitted in the school,
Number of boys left = 300 - 50 = 250
Number of girls left = 200 + 50 = 250
Now, total number of children in the school = 250 + 250 = 500
Percentage of boys in the school
=numberofboystotalnumberofchildren×100
=250500×100
=50%
