Solution

Here, it is given that, there are 3500 students And also given out of which 1450 are girls.

So, (i) To find the number of boys

we have to subtract the number of girls from the number of students

i.e. 3500-1450=2050

Hence, the number of Boys are 2050

Now, (ii) we have to find the ratio of the number of boys to the number of girls

Here, the number of Boys = 2050 and number of girls = 1450

So, The Ratio of the number of boys to the number of girls is 20501450

Dividing its numerator and denominator by its HCF 50

We get 2050÷501450÷50=4129 or 41:29

Hence, the ratio of the number of boys to the number of girls is 41:29.

Now, (iii) To find the ratio of the number of boys to the total number of students

Here, the number of boys = 2050

And, the number of students = 3500

The ratio of the number of boys to the total number of students = 20503500

Dividing its numerator and denominator by its HCF 50

we get 2050÷503500÷50=4170or 41:70

Hence, the ratio of the number of boys to the total number of students is 41:70.
